Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The few it sets are the ones it needs to work: signing in, a link's password, and stopping repeat sign-ups. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to say yes or no to.
What we use
__Host-lucid_session
When: Only after you sign in.
Keeps you signed in. It holds a random session id, not your email. Scripts on the page cannot read it, it is only sent over HTTPS, and it lasts up to 90 days or until you sign out.
sc_me
When: Only in your own browser, after you open Send or one of your own private links while signed in.
Marks the browser as yours so your own looks at your links are not counted as your listener's. It holds a random mark, not your email; scripts cannot read it, and it lasts a year or until you sign out.
pk_…
When: Only after you type a private link's password.
Keeps that one link open in this browser, so you don't type the password again. It holds a key for that link, not the password, and lasts 30 days.
sc_dev
When: Only when you start signing in or making an account.
Stops one browser from making account after account (one free account per person). It holds a random mark, not your email; scripts cannot read it, it is only sent to the sign-in steps, and it lasts a year.
lucid_ticket
When: Only when you buy from inside Lucid Lab, our Mac app.
Puts the purchase on the account the app is signed in to. It is kept in this browser tab only (not a cookie) and is gone when you close the tab.
Visit counts
Cloudflare counts visits to pages for us without cookies and without following you to other sites.
Paying
The checkout is Creem's own page on creem.io. Creem, our merchant of record, may set its own cookies there to take the payment and prevent fraud. They are covered by Creem's privacy policy.
Removing them
Sign out to remove the session cookie and the mark, or clear this site's data in your browser. Questions: support@songcase.app.
